Nine volunteers have been appointed by Gov. Linda Lingle to serve on the Governor's East Hawai'i Community Advisory Council.

The members are Kenneth Ah Lo of Data Processing Services; former County Council aide Andy Baclig; Julie Hugo of Aiona Island Realty; Diane Morgado of Morgado Nursery; University of Hawai'i-Hilo associate professor Alton Okinaka; Dr. Greg Ruhland; Norman Stahl of UH-Hilo; Carol VanCamp of Ala Kai Realty; and chairwoman Jennifer Zelko of Carlsmith Ball.

The council will hold public meetings on the last Thursday of every month.
