State vendor fees reduced

The state of Hawai'i has reduced registration fees 20 percent for the more than 1,600 vendors and over 530 procurement officers who do business with the state online using Hawaii Compliance Express.
The service (http://vendors.ehawaii.gov) links three state agencies and one federal agency to simplify compliance procedures for vendors who want to contract with all state and county agencies.
Vendors can register or renew with Hawaii Compliance Express for an annual cost of $12. The previous fee was $15.
CRAZY SHIRTS OPENS TWO STORES
Honolulu-based Crazy Shirts recently opened stores in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and in Santa Barbara, Calif. The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center location is the ninth Crazy Shirts store on O'ahu and the 22nd store in the state. The Santa Barbara store is Crazy Shirts' eighth in California and its 14th on the Mainland.
INDUSTRIAL SPACE ON O'AHU COSTLY
Honolulu is tops when it comes to rental prices for industrial and warehouse space in major U.S. metropolitan areas, with prices per square foot about 2 1/2 times the national average.
A new survey from Colliers International shows the average rent was $14.28 per square foot in Honolulu during the second quarter, with the next closest market being San Mateo, Calif., at $10.92. The national average is $5.56.
MATSON CRANE READY ON MAUI
Matson Navigation Co. Inc. completed the installation of a new $5 million mobile crane at Kahului Harbor on Maui. The company said the new piece of equipment will strengthen its operations there by providing a land-based crane for container handling.
