WAI'ANAE
Hear a scary story or two

Advertiser Staff

Storyteller and actor Dann Seki will share hair-raising, spooky tales at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Wai'anae Public Library.

Obake Tales is being done in conjunction with National Library Week and is sponsored by the University of Hawai'i Outreach College's Statewide Cultural Extension Program.

Seki, a skilled storyteller, is a stage and screen actor who has appeared in numerous Hawai'i commercials and in stage productions at local theaters.

Obake is a Japanese word for supernatural creatures, and their stories have a long tradition in the Islands, nurtured by the many Pacific cultures that migrated here.
