Oct. 30—Hawai'i Athletes in Action Golf Tournament, at 'Ewa Prince Golf Course. Check-in: 10:30 a.m.; shotgun start: 11:30 a.m. Format: Three-person scramble. Fee: $100 per player, $300 per team including buffet dinner. Sponsorships available. Proceeds benefit high school athletes with their SAT preparation and to attend Mainland football camps. Oct. 31—Early deadline for Makalei Amateur Championships, Nov. 11 and 12 at Makalei Golf Club on Big Island. Format: 36-hole individual stroke play; shotgun start. Championship, A, B and C flights. Fee: $175 per player ($125 by Oct. 31). Proceeds to Friends of the Children's Justice Center of West Hawai'i. Entries at www.makalei.com. Information: (808) 325-6625.

Nov. 21—Collegiate-Amateur Golf Tournament on Kaua'i, at the Kiahuna Golf Club. Shotgun start: 1 p.m. Format: Five-person teams (two collegiate players, three amateurs). Fee: $200 per player. Limited spots available. Information: www.kiahunagolf.com.
