  • EASSIE MILLER has been named president and chief executive officer of Aqua Engineers. Miller will also be responsible for three subsidiary companies: Kauai Precast, LLC, A-Vac, LLC and Briant Construction, Inc. He previously managed the Honolulu office of Brown and Caldwell, an environmental engineering and consulting firm.

  • Bank of Hawaii recently announced four new vice presidents: MICHAEL A. CARR has been named VP and business development officer in the Trust and Private Banking Sales Department; Nelson K.F. Dang is the new VP in the Asset Management Group; Jennifer Lam has been promoted to VP and product manager in the Investment Products Department; Naoki Murayama has been named VP and international relationship officer in the International Commercial Banking Department.

  • CORA BACLIG-CREDO, recently named Pacific Guardian Life Insurance Co. director of sales-Filipino market, will oversee service to brokers in the Filipino life insurance market. Baclig-Credo joined Pacific Guardian Life in 1996 and was previously general sales manager.

  • The American Board of Independent Medical Examiners recently honored Dr. ARMAND K. CHONG as a certified independent medical examiner. According to the organization, he is the only dentist in the nation to receive the distinction. Chong is an 'Iolani School and University of Missouri at Kansas City graduate and is the owner and founder of Hawaii TMG Institute.

  • Convergence CT has hired EDWINA LEE as vice president, Global Analytics. She was previously vice president of Hawaii Pacific Health and administrator of Straub Clinic and Hospital.

  • GARY JENSEN recently joined The Department of Homeland Security from the Office of Naval Research, where he was director of the Greater Mid-Pacific Branch Office. Jensen will oversee a similar office for the DHS.

  • Dowling Co., a Maui-based real estate development company, named TYLER NGUYEN chief financial officer. Before joining Dowling, Nguyen worked with the commercial real estate group at Bank of Hawaii in Honolulu.

  • Alexander & Baldwin Inc. has hired KEVIN HALLORAN as director of corporate finance and investor relations. Halloran's duties will include communication with investors, and oversight of corporate development activities.
