Hawai'i's Michelle Wie accepted an invitation yesterday to the Samsung World Championships, filling out the eight LPGA Tour events the 16-year-old is allowed to play this year.

Wie made her professional debut at Samsung last October. She finished in a tie for fourth place, but was disqualified for what was ruled a bad drop in the third round that led her to sign an incorrect scorecard.

This year's tournament will be played Oct. 12-15 at Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif., where Wie's family recently bought a house.

Wie already played the Fields Open in Hawai'i, where she finished third, a stroke behind.
