Part informal meeting to air the issues, part community celebration. That's the Talk Any Kine Festival, from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Smith Beretania Park in Chinatown.

All who work, play or shop in the area are invited to attend. Topics for discussion include homelessness, affordable rental housing, the business environment and safety. Translators will be provided.

After the discussions, there'll be entertainment by Brother Noland and Makana; hands-on arts activities for youngsters will be organized by DaSpace. Snacks and drinks will be available for participants.

The Talk Any Kine Festival is in anticipation of the Chinatown Summit (April 27 at the Hawai'i Theatre) and is organized by The ARTS at Marks Garage. 521-2903.
