A series of clinics sponsored by the Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association will focus on helping juniors with mental preparation/training for golf. Arizona's Chris Dorris will conduct the clinics on the four major islands later this month.

Fees are $30 for HSJGA members and $40 for non-members. Clinics are aimed at juniors but can also be beneficial to adults, who are invited to participate.

Topics include handling pressure, increasing consistency and concentration, reducing fear and combating negative thinking. There will also be tips on turning around bad rounds and addressing coach/athlete conflicts.

Dorris has served as adviser, consultant and mental toughness trainer to executives, entrepreneurs and athletes the past decade. He is founder of Dorris Performance Psychology and co-founder of Head Games, a Peak Performance company.

For additional information, call HSJGA at 532-0559 or visit HSJGA.org.
