TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"CMA Music Festival: Country Music's Biggest Party," 8 p.m., ABC. Each June in Nashville, Fan Fair seems to ripple with country-music energy. This special was taped there, centering on a massive stadium concert. Given the raucous nature of the crowd, "Party" plays it safe at first, showing only the upbeat, up-tempo songs. Viewers might forget that country music is often about passionate, personal ballads. Stick around, though, because they are coming. Martina McBride unleashes her stunning voice for "Where Would You Be?" Carrie Underwood sings her first country hit, "Jesus Take the Wheel." And in a highlight of the night Brooks and Dunn perform "Believe." Ronnie Dunn's awesome vocal performance reminds us that country music is not confined to good-time party songs.

OF NOTE

"Project Runway," 7 p.m., NBC. This summer, the networks have sometimes been boosting the cable channels that are their corporate partners. Tonight, NBC reruns the second hour from this popular Bravo channel series, which tries to pick the next great fashion designer.

"Hell's Kitchen," 7 and 8 p.m., Fox. First is a rerun of last week's hour; then comes a new episode with only five chefs left in the competition.

"Kyle XY," 8 p.m. and 12 a.m., ABC Family. Kyle has complications at school; so do the two kids he's staying with.

"Two and a Half Men," 8 p.m., CBS. In a funny rerun, Charlie reluctantly goes to an awards ceremony where the same arrogant guy (Jon Lovitz) wins annually.

"Falcon Beach," 9 p.m., ABC Family. Erin and Zoe both face heavy amounts of blame.
