  • Lori Kaneshige has been named manager of Kuakini Medical Center's Education Services Department. She will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating Kuakini Health System's educational services and programs.

  • Laura Bingaman has joined DHI Mortgage as branch manager. She will be responsible for daily operations of the team of loan officers, processors and closers.

  • Dr. Jason Flemming has been named assistant medical director of Hawai'i Air Ambulance. Flemming's duties will include flying on the fleet of planes owned by the aeromedical company. A Honolulu native, Flemming is also an emergency-room physician at The Queen's Medical Center.

  • Colin Alos has been appointed an agent by State Farm Insurance. Alos previously was district sales manager for Coca Cola Bottling Co. of Hawaii. He joined State Farm in January 2005.

  • Anna Aragaki has been named group benefits manager, and Donna Gomi has been named an account executive in the group benefits division, at Finance Insurance Ltd.

  • Bruce Berger has been hired as a counseling psychologist by the Army Alcohol & Substance Abuse program at Schofield Barracks. He will continue in private practice as a vocational rehabilitation counselor registered with the disability compensation division of the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

  • Mark Sassone has been named executive chef at the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort. He oversees food preparation for the resort's Naupaka Terrace Steak House, Driftwood Sand Bar & Grille, Shutters Lounge, room service, and catering operations for meetings and special events.

  • William "Buddy" Moore has been promoted to contract sales manager for Hawai'i distributorship by Sub-Zero/Wolf. Also, Michael Yee has been appointed by Sub-Zero/Wolf to the position of territory manager and will oversee sales throughout the state.

  • Jayna Uyehara has been named manager of the business action center by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

  • Al Nakano has been named president of the board of directors of Adult Friends for Youth. The organization works with youth gangs to reduce criminal behavior. Nakano is a vice president at Merrill Lynch.

  • Yvette Mackler has been appointed assistant account executive in the travel and tourism department at McNeill Wilson.
