ADVERTISER CHRISTMAS FUND
Your giving sets a record

Thank you, Hawai'i.
Because of your generosity, a record $200,459.77 has been raised so far for the 2005 Ho-nolulu Advertiser Christmas Fund, and donations continue to come in.
That record amount includes $35,624.51 given by our anonymous Santa, who matched the first $25 of each donation to the fund.
"It's just amazing," said Maria Chomyszak, Helping Hands Hawai'i Community Clearinghouse program manager. "It puts a big smile on my face because of all the good it will do this year," she said.
Cash and goods donated to the Christmas Fund and Helping Hands Hawai'i go to families who have a difficult time making ends meet. Many have lost jobs, or their work hours have been cut. Others have been forced out of their homes by rising rents and some have been overwhelmed by medical costs.
Christmas Fund donations go to families who need help during the holidays and face a bleak Christmas.
But the goods and money also are used throughout the year for those in need.
The 2005 total surpasses last year's record total of $184,297.
