If you're going to make a hole-in-one, you might as well make it really count.

Barry Lai, 31, of Honolulu, not only made two holes-in-one in seven months, he also did it during tournaments that offered prizes for the feat.

Lai's first career hole-in-one came at the Hawai'i Prince while playing in the First Hawaiian Bank Rehab Golf Challenge in May. He won two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world on Delta Airlines, according to his fiancee Teresa Seo, who submitted Lai's story.

Lai and Seo went to Europe in November.

In December, during the Miller/Watts Constructors Golf Tournament at Mamala Bay, Lai got his second ace. This time, the prize was any car up to $30,000 from King Nissan.

Lai's reaction? "Oh, no, more taxes!"

Lai, who is co-owner of Air Central Inc., an air conditioning and sheet metal company, plays about six rounds a year, according to Seo. He's also involved in several other hobbies, including autocrossing and drifting.

After his two aces, what are Lai's goals for this year? A double-eagle and to hit the Mega-bucks.
