Second-half blitz carries LMU by UH

Loyola Marymount used a 53-point second half to rally past Hawai'i, 79-69, in a women's basketball game yesterday at the Gersten Pavilion in Los Angeles.

Junior guard Jennifer Hall led the Lions with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Ashlee Dunlap and Amanda Patton added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

UH senior guard Pam Tambini scored a team-high 20 points.

LMU (5-4) rallied to outscore Hawai'i (4-3) 53-31 in the second half after trailing by 12 at halftime. The Lions shot 52 percent from the field in the second half.

The Rainbow Wahine conclude their road trip tomorrow at Southern California. The game will be carried live at 10:45 a.m. on ESPN 1420.
