Fung, Knights overcome 10 K's by Moanalua's Robinson

Kehau Fung went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the eighth inning as host Castle edged Moanalua in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East Division opener for both teams.

Fung's double to right-center allowed Kori Berinobis, who led off the inning with a single, to score from first.

Moanalua (0-1) trailed 2-0 entering the seventh inning, but tied it on Sarah Robinson's two-run homer with no outs. She also struck out 10 Knights at the plate.

Jenna Kon tossed a complete game and Shauna Lei Naki went 2-for-3 for Castle (1-0).

Amanda Vegas drove in four runs and the host Surfriders cruised past the Falcons. Vegas went 3-for-3 and was a homer short of hitting for the cycle. Brittany Tokunaga added two RBI's and Krista Dumandan tossed a five-hitter for Kailua. Kristiann Endow had two hits for Kalani.
