TODAY'S MUST-SEE

Hurricane Katrina coverage, various networks. A year ago New Orleans was being evacuated as Hurricane Katrina neared. Today and tomorrow, ABC originates "Good Morning America" (7-9 a.m.), "World News" (5:30 p.m.) and Nightline" (11:05 p.m.) from New Orleans. NBC's Brian Williams is also in New Orleans. There, he'll report for "Today" (7 to 9 a.m.) this morning and anchor his newscast (5:30 p.m.), today and tomorrow. He also hosts "Katrina: The Long Road Back," at 7 p.m. today; it includes updates. Also today and tomorrow, "Anderson Cooper 360" is in New Orleans from 4 to 6 p.m. on CNN. It's a return for several CNN people — Cooper, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Soledad O'Brien, Miles O'Brien — who reported passionately on Katrina.

OF NOTE

"Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!" debut, 8 a.m., Nickelodeon. This cartoon introduces Wubbzy, Widget and Walden in Wuzzleburg. Wow.

"Kyle XY," 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., ABC Family. Here's a chance to catch the entire first season in one gulp. That starts with the intriguing pilot film in which a teen-looking guy has no idea who he is. It ends with a new hour in which people claim to be his parents.

"Prison Break," 7 p.m., Fox. Last week ended with a jolt: Veronica had found the man Linc (her ex-boyfriend) was convicted of killing, but she was promptly killed by agents. Tonight, the honest warden and his crooked captain face a hearing. T-Bag has his hand sewn on. And in a misstep for this fine show — Michael and Linc take an absurd detour as they try the impossible — another prison break.

"Two and a Half Men," 7 and 8 p.m., CBS. In the first rerun, Rose must be the sensible one, mediating a dispute between the brothers. In the second, Jack gets his first invitation to a boy-girl party.

"Vanished," 8 p.m., Fox. As last week's terrific opener concluded, a stranger said he'd dated the missing Sara when she had a different identity. Tonight, the search continues. Also, Sara's stepdaughter investigates her own boyfriend.

"The Closer" 8 p.m., TNT. Brenda has enough trouble on a case in which the key witness was killed. Complicating things, her boss' ex-wife confronts her in front of her colleagues.

"Falcon Beach," 9 p.m., ABC Family. The summer ends and so does the first season of this show. Danny considers proposing to the pregnant Erin. Jason wonders if Paige will forget him in Harvard. The Lane-Tanya relationship looks shaky after she agrees to testify against him.

"Great Performances: 'Jewels' From the Paris Opera Ballet," midnight, PBS (check local listings). There are moments of sweet beauty here but there's also a distant, bloodless feel. George Balanchine's ballet has no plot and no strong motivation. It's lovely but vague.

"Midnight Money Madness" debut, 9 p.m., TBS. This live, two-hour show has games people can play for cash by phone, Internet or text-message.
