Stabbed Kalihi man hospitalized

A 42-year-old Kalihi man was in critical condition at The Queen's Medical Center yesterday morning after being stabbed by a 39-year-old neighbor.
Police said the two men got into an argument just after midnight at their apartment building in the 200 block of Kalihi Street.
The argument escalated and one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the other, police said.
Officers arrived and arrested a man on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder.
STRANGERS HELP CAR BREAK-IN VICTIMS
Two women tourists from the Mainland were aided by a pair of strangers after their rental car was broken into Monday afternoon at a scenic lookout in East Honolulu.
Police said the tourists, 23 and 26, parked their car about 4:30 p.m., got out and were sightseeing nearby when they heard a commotion in the parking lot.
One of the strangers told the women their bags had been stolen from the car but that a second stranger was detaining two women suspects.
Police arrived and arrested the two women, 23 and 46, on suspicion of breaking into a motor vehicle, a felony.
GIRL, 13, REPORTS SLEEPOVER ASSAULT
Police are investigating a complaint filed by a 13-year-old girl who said she was sexually assaulted by a 15-year-old boy early Sunday morning in Wai'anae.
Police said the girl and the boy were taking part in a sleepover at the home of a mutual friend. The girl approached the owner of the home and reported being assaulted between 4 and 5 a.m.
The homeowner contacted the girl's mother, who then called police, but the boy left before they arrived.
TEENAGE ESCAPEES HITCH WRONG RIDE
Two 17-year-old girls who left the Hawai'i Youth Correctional Facility in Kailua without permission Monday were arrested about 5 p.m. and returned to the facility.
Police said the two girls walked away from the detention center and hid in thick underbrush nearby before walking out to Kalaniana'ole Highway, where they tried to hitchhike.
Two police officers received a call about the hitchhikers, removed the blue lights from their privately owned vehicles, removed their uniform shirts and drove to the area near the youth facility. They stopped and picked up the two hitchhikers, then immediately arrested the pair.
ARREST FOLLOWS FALSE BOMB THREAT
Police arrested a 23-year-old woman Monday on suspicion of telephoning a business on Ahua Street on Saturday and saying a bomb had been planted in an employee restroom.
No bomb was found.
A dispatcher who took the call told police she recognized the caller's voice.
WAIKELE WOMAN SUSPECT IN ATTACK
Police arrested a 50-year-old Waikele woman about 4 a.m. Monday after a 54-year-old man said he awoke to find someone going through his wallet.
The man told police he argued with the woman and told her to stop, but that she hit him several times and then grabbed a knife and chased him after learning he had called police.
