Brazil's Ribeiro wins Ultraman

Alexandre Ribeiro, 40, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, won the three-day Ultraman World Triathlon in Kona, Hawai'i, finishing in 24 hours, 32 minutes, 28 seconds.
The triathlon included a 6.2-mile swim on Friday, 261.4-mile bike on Saturday and a 52.4-mile run yesterday.
Michael Hanreck, 30, of London was second in 26:47:01, followed by Gary Wang of Corte Madera, Calif., in 27:50:21. Shanna Armstrong, 31, of Lubbock, Texas, was fourth overall and the first woman, in 28:03:34.
Eighteen finished the race.
