Arbor Day Tree Giveaway, in a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Arbor Day, Hawaiian Electric Co. is sponsoring a giveaway of trees and shrubs on a "first-come, first-served" basis (they often go quickly), 7 a.m. tomorrow at HECO Ward facility, downtown Honolulu; HECO Kahe Power Plant; Wai'anae; Urban Garden Center, Pearl City; HECO Ko'olau Base Yard, Kailua; Wahiawa Botanical Garden; and at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Waimea Valley Audubon Center on the North Shore.

Other plant giveaways are the Kumula'au Arbor Day celebrations: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today at Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach; 8:30 a.m.-noon tomorrow at Amy Greenwell Garden, Captain Cook, Big Island; 9-11 a.m. tomorrow, Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort, Kona, Big Island.
